Socialize  AAL  Elderly  Security  Privacy

SOCIALIZE is a service oriented platform that could be potentially accessed from anywhere in the world. However, the access to services should be granted to authorised endpoints. Application security is the use of software, hardware, and procedural methods to protect applications from external threats. In the Socialize project, security is about risk management and implementing effective countermeasures and it must be applied at three layers: network, host and application. To respect the elderly privacy is necessary to observe the rules of professional conduct that, if ignored, might limit the individual freedom. It is necessary to take advantage of the new technologies of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) that, if applied incorrectly, can become invasive and in contradiction with the individual freedom.
