This report describes the state-of-the-art (as identified so far) of six ESFRI environmental research infrastructures (RIs) chosen as representative of the broad range of ESFRI infrastructures active currently: EISCAT_3D (geo-space monitoring), EMSO (seafloor monitoring), EPOS (solid Earth science), Euro-Argo (ocean monitoring), ICOS (carbon observation) and LifeWatch (biodiversity). For each RI, a description of its mission and status is given, followed by an overview of current activities, data products and technical This report describes the state-of-the-art (as identified so far) of six ESFRI environmental research infrastructures (RIs) chosen as representative of the broad range of ESFRI infrastructures active currently: EISCAT_3D (geo-space monitoring), EMSO (seafloor monitoring), EPOS (solid Earth science), Euro-Argo (ocean monitoring), ICOS (carbon observation) and LifeWatch (biodiversity).
