Universal housing technologies
Salerno E, Fusco GThrough its unit Integrated Technologies for Quality of Living [L1], CNR-ISTI is a partner of a soon-to-commence project, UNIversalhoUSING. Its purpose is to establish a set of design guidelines for near-zero-emission buildings strictly integrated with their technological facilities, to ensure full compliance with both the existing norms and to meet the needs of inhabitants of different demographics, such as single people, young couples, families with children, and elderly people. A demonstration building will be designed and built on the CNR premises in Pisa, Italy.Source: ERCIM NEWS, pp. 50-51

Sviluppo di un sistema di smart monitoring, controllo ed analisi
Fusco G, Labbozzetta EThe research aims at the development of new energy-efficient building systems that are easily adaptable to different construction types, with particular reference to the renovation and redevelopment of existing buildings and on the other to enable savings in terms of energy consumption and abatement of greenhouse gas emissions.
The work is based on the use of technological solutions and innovative materials with the aim of studying and developing a "facade component" composed of opaque and transparent modules in which it is possible to integrate an innovative "system" of multilayer panels made of materials and nano-structured surfaces.

Report descrittivo di un sistema integrato per il monitoraggio ed il controllo di parametri chimico-fisici
Fusco G, Labbozzetta EThe characterization of the façade panels is a rather specific activity since it refers to products at the prototype level; for this reason the use of a custom designed monitoring system is confirmed. This solution is characterized by:
o tailor-made approach: targeted system design for the specific test campaign
o reliability of the test: the result of targeted planning is the reliability of the results.
o greater flexibility: possibility of adapting the test protocol according to any
different emerging needs during the data acquisition campaign.
In the first part of the document the monitoring system is presented, in a test cell regime, for the characterization of the façade prototype.
In the second part, the addresses for the specifications of the façade system to be considered as possible future developments are presented.

Utilizzo di un sistema di smart monitoring
Fusco G, Labbozzetta E937/5000
The monitoring system includes a piece of data acquisition hardware (DAQS) and a part consisting of the sensors that generate the data to be acquired. For the structure of the DAQS some steps have been taken which led to the definition of the functional scheme of a possible acquisition system. Subsequently some possible solutions were explored:
I. industrial systems for the control and monitoring of activities and processes. These systems are characterized by a strong standardization deriving from the fact that they are designed for industrial production contexts.
II. Systems designed on "ad hoc" specifications in relation to the requests that emerged during the first comparisons within the research activities.
III. Acquisition and monitoring systems realized with the use of "general purpose" hardware, controlled by a software platform specifically designed and built.
