Research data publishing in scientific data repositories: a survey

In this study we analyse the solutions offered by scientific data repositories to research data publishing. In particular, we focus on generalist repositories, i.e., repositories supporting the deposition of any research data. We have analysed the current practices promoted by such repositories with respect to 8 key aspects in data publishing, i.e., dataset formatting, documentation, licensing, publication costs, validation, availability, discovery and access, and citation.

The gCube VRE Definition App shows a wizard that allows VRE managers to create VREs, defining their name, their temporal coverage (i.e. start date and end date after which the VRE expires), their managers, their description (optional) and the resources they will need to operate.
