Non-Destructive Testing 

The paper reports the experimental results obtained using two sensors, a planar resonating antenna and a co-planar capacitor, driven by the system for Non Destructive Test realized in the Institute. The sensors are aimed to inspect dielectric materials, since the near electromagnetic field produced by the antenna and the electric field of the capacitor are influenced by the permittivity of the inspected materials, so that information about the material's structure can by obtained analyzing the sensor responses. Using the described sensors, the system is able to examine materials whose permittivity ranges from 1 to at least 10; the system can reveal structural surface or proximal variations.
